I woke up at 2:00 AM and, following an inner call, walked to the window. I opened it. It was a pitch-black night. Suddenly, like a flash, a very bright cloud flew toward me, stopping about 200 meters away.

The atmosphere held a silence that is impossible to describe—as if space and time had dissolved, or as if everything were trapped under a glass dome. All life and the small sounds of the night—nothing existed anymore.

I knew something strange was happening. I immediately ran to get my camera, though unfortunately, I had the wrong lens attached. I kept photographing everything as it unfolded.

Out of nowhere, a flash appeared, followed by a second cloud. They were extremely bright, yet the light felt indirect. The cloud radiated downward over a neighbor's roof. Suddenly, another flash, and a third cloud appeared out of nowhere. The lights from the clouds grew larger and merged into one massive light. A few seconds—or perhaps minutes—later, everything turned pitch black again.

This may sound crazy, but I heard an inner voice: 'Watch, we won’t hurt you when we come for you. To us, you are like children!'

Suddenly, the darkness came back to life. I watched as two objects positioned themselves one above the other. Between them, something emerged, swirling into the here and now. I could hardly believe my eyes. It was a man I didn't recognize. He was being beamed into the air. He was spinning in circles, which is why I only managed to get one good photo. A man with a full beard and lowered trousers was being transported toward the upper UFO. It looked as if he were riding upward in an invisible, rotating elevator.

Instantly, the night turned black again.

A few minutes later, the bright clouds reappeared out of nowhere. Since nothing else seemed to be happening, I rushed downstairs to my office and immediately wrote an email to a German scientist. I wanted to do this right away because I knew I might forget the details by morning. In the email, I promised to send the photos the next day. Then I went to bed.

In the morning, my first task was to evaluate the photos and email them to the physicist. Since the event took place about 200 meters away, using a flash was not an option, so the photos aren't perfect. They are, after all, night shots from a distance. I didn't have an integrated video camera at the time.

Missing Time: Between the time I took the photos and when I went to the office, 45 minutes had passed! In my memory, I went downstairs immediately, which should have taken two minutes at most.

The Final Photo: The last photo shows a blinding light right in front of my window, but I have no memory of it.

I am missing both time and memory from after the event.
