This story is about a UFO crash—but it didn’t happen at Area 51, nor anywhere else in the USA. No, it took place in two small villages in Upper Bavaria, within the district of Weilheim-Schongau.
One evening, residents were drawn to their windows by a brilliant light. Many went out into the streets to investigate. They couldn't believe their eyes; what they saw was simply too incredible.
An object, about 3 to 4 meters in size, hovered silently over the houses. It was oval-shaped and glowed with a radiant white light. This unidentified flying object moved toward the edge of the village, hovering over a meadow before landing, at which point three stilt-like landing legs appeared.
One resident, acting on instinct, ran into his house to grab his camera. He actually took photos!
The object vibrated for a while and then took off again, flying directly over the heads of 10 to 15 witnesses.
Minutes later, a loud impact was heard two kilometers away. Again, residents rushed from their homes. They found the object had crashed near a set of railroad tracks.
Driven by fear, they dared to approach, but police, the fire department, and presumably the military arrived almost immediately. The firefighters and police were sent away by those suspected to be military personnel, and the area was cordoned off for several days.
The witness who took the photos brought them in to be developed. When he picked them up, the images showed nothing but blackness. He believed the military was responsible for the darkened photos. However, that was not the case; the 'blackness' was caused by the sheer intensity of the object's brightness.
All witnesses were sworn to silence, but to this day, they swear that it was an unidentified object and that their accounts are true.

We visited the site this past summer. The area is currently restricted by fences. Only a small tunnel allows a glimpse of a tiny portion of the site.
Within a few kilometers lies the former Raisting Earth Station (involved in the ECHELON program) and the GSOC (Space Operations Center). Furthermore, we learned that there was also a listening station in the immediate vicinity. Both the Earth Station and the listening station have since ceased operations.
It remains impossible to obtain any further details from official government sources.
