Nostradamus: What hardly anyone knows about his "prophecies"Note: This is a revised post from my archive, originally published on December 5, 2023.Nostradamus – The secret that hardly anyone wants to knowThe real secret surrounding Nostradamus is as obvious as an open book. The question that occupied me: Why on earth does no one want to see the truth?Hello my dears, have you ever had this experience? You are an expert in a certain field and you keep hearing statements that are not correct. These false claims do not become true just because many people repeat them. To be honest, I can't hear it anymore. It is repeatedly claimed that Nostradamus prophesied what would happen in our modern times. But that is wrong! His reports were news from his own era and were falsely interpreted by many as prophecies for the future.I admit that the verses of Nostradamus can be fascinating. The idea that his verses could contain a hidden message for the future practically invites people to interpret things into them. However, the writings of Nostradamus are not predictions for our modern times.I have dealt with this topic very intensely. Somehow, it never felt right to me when it came to prophecies for the "New World." Years later, I saw a documentation that addressed exactly this: Nostradamus provided reports, news, and horoscopes for his own time. Furthermore, he was a devout Catholic who would have considered prophecies to be the work of the devil.Instead, his verses described events of his own era – wars, political upheavals, and natural disasters. Of course, there are passages that could be related to the modern world – such as descriptions of wars or pandemics. But that does not mean he actually foresaw these events. He packaged the horoscopes and reports of his time into verses to make them appear more entertaining and mystical – which was not unusual at the time.A preserved letter clarifies the situation at that time: In Salon, hatred between religious denominations was simmering. Nostradamus himself was insulted as a Lutheran and had to flee to Avignon from violent rage.It is important that we distance ourselves from false interpretations and view his writings in a historical context. The search for supposed codes in his verses often only distracts from real prophets and seers. Facts also show: His famous horoscope for Crown Prince Rudolf of Habsburg was almost completely wrong, and contemporary astrologers accused him of understanding "less than nothing" about real astrology. In 1555, he was also in financial distress and tried to please the royal house – horoscopes were a possible source of money back then. When we understand his writings historically, we learn a lot about our history. Neither today nor in the past have people been primarily interested in the distant future, but rather in what happens in their own lives.I wish you a wonderful day.
