◆ Case 1: The Mysterious Club 27 ◆

There is the Club 27, which is often spoken of. This is the designation for a series of well-known musicians who died at the age of 27.
In 1994, with the death of Kurt Cobain, this term first came into the public focus. As his mother sadly said after his death, Kurt Cobain had always wanted to belong to the Club 27.

Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 and thus inevitably belonged to the club. Through Amy's death, the topic was once again provided with new fuel in the public eye.

If one now sifts through the long list of musicians who belong to the CLUB 27, no other constant commonalities can be found.
The causes of death are very different, ranging from drug abuse and accidents to murder.

38 deaths of musicians at the age of 27—and the search for matches begins.

Out of 38 deaths in the Club 27, 35 men and three women are affected. Upon closer inspection, I was able to determine that the months with the most deaths were August (5) and July (4).

Musicians died least frequently in December, January, and October. In each of these months, only one death was recorded.

The highest number of causes of death were accidents (13), drug abuse (11), illnesses (5), and murder (4). Three died by suicide, two from sexually transmitted diseases, and one musician suffocated.

Predominantly, the deaths occurred from 1970 – 1979, with 11 cases.

From 1990 to 1999, only 5 occurred, and from 2000 until today, there have already been 8 deaths. The other deaths are scattered across the years back from 1908 to 1969.

In fact, the coincidences referred to the only three correspondences:
  • Fame,
  • Musician,
  • 27 years old at the time of death.

Whether this actually corresponds to a coincidence in this case is questionable, as a musician's life in the public eye is generally characterized by certain accompanying circumstances.

But I found further occurrences that are very worth mentioning.

These can no longer be mere coincidences. Is it destiny?

But this is not an isolated case. More of these coincidences to read about, e.g., the creepy events surrounding Umberto I.
